Due to the fact that Spider-Mans beginnings are so well known I shall omit the information.

Abilities: Spider-Man has the ability to stick and climb walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense ("spider-sense") that notifies him of danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, as well as superhuman speed and agility. He also excels at the sciences particular chemistry and physics.
Equipment: He has a mechanized spider shooter that allows him to shoot a web onto a variety of different surfaces. He has also been know to use the web as a shield, as a sling shot to shoot him over long distances and at times it has been used to create a wing allowing him to glide. Other equipment include spider-tracers (spider-shaped adhesive homing beacons keyed to his own spider-sense), a light beacon that can either be used as a flashlight or to project "Spider-Signal" design, and a specially modified camera that can take pictures automatically.

The Tick

A square-jawed, muscular, bright blue-costumed figure with antennae sticking up from his head. He is high-spirited, frequently obtuse, and funny. Dim remarks and "inspirational" speeches filled with bizarre metaphors. In the comic book, the Tick works at the Weekly World Planet newspaper. Like most superheroes the Tick has a side kick called Arthur who wears a white moth suit that allows him to fly (the suite is often confused with a bunny suite due to that large antennae) his battle cry is “Not in the face! Not in the face!”

Abilities: His superpowers are nigh-invulnerability, that allows him to collide with objects without injury (though not necessarily without pain); superhuman strength (he can pick up cars with ease). He also has "drama power," a tendency when the situation becomes more dramatic his powers increase accordingly. He can also survive in outer space without a suit, under ware or oxygen. Despite his nigh-invulnerability, the Tick is portrayed as being vulnerable to blows to the head, that often cause temporary stunning. He is known for his strange battle cry’s like “Spooooon”
